Helicopter Snow Landings

From Wanaka Airport, we climb up over rugged tussock sheep grazing country to the white glistening snow capped mountains of the Pisa Range, rich in gold mining history from the mid 1800’s, for a snow landing at over 6500 ft.

The 360° vista gives you breathtaking views as far as Dunedin, Mt Aspiring and Mt Cook. After a few snowball fights, and depending on your flight option we then descend off the Pisa Range, back to the airport, or if on the Grand Circle flight, down the Cardrona Valley, over Wanaka township for another high alpine landing on Mt. Roy with spectacular views of Lake Wanaka, Mt. Aspiring and the Southern Alps, then back to the airport.

Snow landings are available all year round, but at the height of summer, we may have to travel further at an extra cost.
