Mount Aspiring & Glaciers

A high altitude alpine flight and landing that explores Mount Aspiring (Tititea), the glaciers and the National Park.

Fly over the pristine clear blue waters of Lake Wanaka, past islands that are remnants of the last glacial period over 25000 years ago, to make a landing amongst the impressive mountain grandeur near Mt. Aspiring. This landing site is snow covered for 9 months of the year. We then fly on to see close up, cascading cliffs of compressed blue ice, deep crevasses, hanging steep glaciers and long winding ones up to 10 km long, water falls, sheer rock faces, and native forest.

The Aspiring Grand Circle flight circumnavigates Mt. Aspiring allowing you to see many more glaciers and impressive glacial ice with views as far as the West Coast and the Tasman Sea. There is so much unspoilt nature and glacial wonders to see on this flight, that it will be difficult to take it all in.
