Diploma in Aviation
Wanaka Helicopters is proud to announce that we have been granted government funding for our Diploma in Aviation qualifications from 2015. We are looking forward to working with other providers and Education / Aviation regulators to create a world class industry standard qualification.
The New Zealand Diploma of Aviation (NZDipA) is a new Diploma developed by the New Zealand Aviation Industry to meet the needs of fixed wing (aeroplane) and rotary wing (helicopter) pilots in the 21st century
To gain a student loan for pilot training in New Zealand the completion of a Diploma course is required.
- General Aviation (Level 5) candidates will graduate with a NZ Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and be well placed for further study with an airline or other general aviation operations such as Search and Rescue (SAR) and scenic flights. As well as the CAA requirements for a CPL, trainees will develop skills and knowledge in quality, security, risk and aviation management
- Flight Instruction (Level 6) candidates will graduate with a NZ Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and a “C” Category instructor rating
